Our Seattle office is looking for a Project Architect who is passionate about getting work built and capable of leading the design, detailing, and execution of complex projects. For this position, an interest in Senior Housing work (independent living, assisted living, memory care or nursing care,) is a must.

The Ideal Candidate Is:

  • A team player, working hand-in-hand with other architects, interns, project managers, and interiors;
  • Someone who builds trust with a client by demonstrating their design and technical skills;
  • A great communicator, coordinating not only with their team but their consultants.
  • Licensed, or pursuing licensure.

We’re Looking for Someone Who Knows:

  • How to work on large scale overall plans and small scale details simultaneously;
  • How work gets built and how to work with general contractors and subcontractors;
  • What to document at each phase of design and how to put together an excellent drawing set.

We’d Like Someone with Proficiency In:

  • Hand sketching to communicate ideas quickly;
  • Autodesk Revit modeling and documentation;
  • Bluebeam markups, overlays, and collaboration.

Your Daily Work Would Consist of:

  • Being responsible for design excellence on your projects;
  • Coordinating design and documentation internally and externally;
  • Mentoring junior staff in the documentation process;
  • Applying building, zoning, accessibility, and other applicable codes.
