Plant was spun out of LivingHomes,, and major funding was provided by Obvious Ventures,   The company operates out of 62,000 sf facility in Rialto, California.

Job Summary:

Plant has an immediate need for a full-time Project Manager. This person will be responsible for preparing project specifications, schedule, and contracts for residential prefab construction projects. You will direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion while continually monitoring compliance with drawings and specifications. This position is based in Rialto, CA, and reports to the General Manager.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop construction project specifications with architect, engineers, and clients.
  • Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
  • Negotiate agreement terms and prepare and manage construction contracts.
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and the construction team to meet contract requirements.
  • Track long lead items, ensure all materials required for construction in plant and on site are ordered and received.
  • Associates degree or higher in construction management or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a construction manager or in a similar position in construction management.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Able to manage team of employees and multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of materials from procurement period to shipping of product.
  • Able to quickly analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • In-depth understanding of wood framed construction.
  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules.
  • Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and experience with Project Management software preferred.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
  • Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Maintain regular communication with client throughout construction process.
