We are SPF:a, an industrious group of designers, thinkers, and humanists. We are currently looking for a highly motivated marketing coordinator/content strategist to join our firm as we expand our reach. This position is ideal for a go-getter who wants to learn, grow, and flex their creative prowess.

As an SPF:a team member in this dynamic role, you will:

  • Support our editor in writing and developing content for our new website, online journal, and social media.
  • Support our editor in writing project storylines for various mediums, including web and print.
  • Assist in the production and packaging awards submittals, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Assist in researching, securing, and managing project and client opportunities in SPF:a’s scope of interest.
  • Support our editor in writing in press releases, presentations, and other marketing collateral.
  • Work with SPF:a’s Principals and Business Development Director on the execution of business development strategy.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills are an absolute must. We value discourse and we’re storytellers as much as we are designers. You will need to be able to distill abstract concepts, scraps of notes, and impassioned design tangents into a cohesive and compelling narrative.
  • Working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop required. Honed graphic design skills are a major bonus.
  • Flexibility to both work collaboratively and think and execute strategically and independently.
  • A detail-oriented mind able to juggle multiple projects against deadlines.
  • Exceptional execution and follow through on all assignments.
  • You are unafraid to try new things and think outside-the-box.

This position is based in Culver City, CA.

Experience: 2 years of relevant professional experience, ideally at an architecture firm, design firm, ad agency, or media company/publication. A degree in journalism, English, graphic design, business/marketing or similar is desired.

HOW TO APPLY: Please send your cover letter, resume, three of your best writing clips, and your design portfolio (if applicable) to diane.pham[at]spfa[dot]com. Applicants failing to provide the aforementioned materials will not be considered.

We look forward to hearing from you!
