Steering House Design and Development is an active Brooklyn based boutique residential design, development and construction company looking for a well-rounded, enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, detail oriented Associate Project Manager to help oversee daily design, construction and development projects throughout brownstone Brooklyn. Qualified candidates will be comfortable working under our Senior Project Manager in a high pressure work environment to help manage up to 20,000 square feet of new and existing residential townhouse construction spread over a few job sites at any given time.

Responsibilities include:

Project management:

  • Assist with reviewing plans for completeness and generating RFI’s
  • Assist with the production of RFP’s, contract negotiation, managing vendors, contracts and sub-contractors
  • Purchase, delivery and tracking of required material
  • Manage punch lists and project close outs
  • Monitor progress and assist with quality control - we expect nothing but the highest standards

Design and Construction:

  • Assist with the creation of construction drawings as needed
  • Assist with sourcing architectural and design details

Administrative:

  • Proactive Department of Buildings/permit management
  • Assist with project budgeting, budget management, reporting and reconciliations

Salary and Benefits:

  • $60,000-$70,000 annually
  • Health Insurance stipend
