We are engaged in some of the most interesting and transformative urban transportation and infrastructure projects in the United States. We have a long history of involvement with a large number of prime transportation agencies and infrastructure clients across the country and have locally participated in the design and construction of all Metro rail lines within California. We are currently delivering the Westside Subway project and are actively engaged in a number of upcoming Metro projects, such as the Gold Line Foothill Extension, the Eastside LRT Extension, and the new LRT Corridor in the San Fernando Valley. Outside of California, we are working with almost all major transit agencies on expanding their urban transit networks.

The position offers an opportunity to engage in and participate in the Urban Design and architectural design of some of the high-profile projects currently changing the urban context of Southern California and the US to a more pedestrian and bike friendly environment supported by public transit.

Independently performs a wide variety of conventional and moderately-complex architectural assignments by applying architectural design standards, practices, and techniques.  The incumbent at this level regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in developing original designs, is proficient in the utilization of standard architectural techniques, and is thoroughly familiar with company procedures. 


Performs a variety of assignments such as conducting architectural studies, developing design concepts and design criteria, and preparing related reports.

Reviews CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers.  Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. 

Writes construction specifications and prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.  Interfaces with suppliers as required.

Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project site.  Reviews, approves, and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.

Provides technical guidance to Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project.


Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 5+ years related experience.  Professional registration is desired at this level.


Requires proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, and techniques, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, model-building, and presentation drawing.  Proficiency in Revit and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required.
