NEON Architecture is an Indianapolis-based design studio focused on raising and expanding the level of urban housing design in our cities. We approach residential architecture through the lenses of effective design and efficient use of space and resources while constantly exploring innovative building methods and materials. At NEON, we believe we have the opportunity to challenge the way we build and design for today’s growing and changing populations. As our cities continue to grow, NEON hopes to set the example of intentional thought behind how we live in our homes, what they provide for our communities, and how they impact future growth and development.


NEON is growing and we are looking for someone to grow with us. The ideal candidate is someone who is inspired by the built world around them and has ideas to enhance it. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with a design dialogue and is eager to see their ideas come to life.

The Position:

NEON Architecture is seeking an Architectural Designer with 1-5 years of experience.

Beyond the obvious qualifications, we are looking for someone who is passionate about design, passionate about cities, and passionate about the ideas they have to contribute to today’s urban environment. We want to bring someone on board who is hungry to challenge the status quo and thrives on research and informed innovation.

The next person to join NEON will be the curious, self-motivated problem solver with a desire to see their ideas come to life.

Job Details/Qualifications:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture
  • Knowledge and experience in software, including: Revit, Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino, and rendering software
  • Ability to multi-task and navigate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and visual
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong design language
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Eager to learn and challenge themselves
  • Well-rounded and ability to work on all phases of a project
