Studio KDA is an award-winning, 25-person design firm specializing in multi-family housing, retail and restaurant design.  We are known for engaging, thoughtful design, high level of service to our clients and a highly enjoyable and supportive work environment.   

We have an immediate need for a Senior Designer / Project Architect with effective problem solving abilities, technical expertise in Type V and Type III buildings, and sound working knowledge of all major building systems. This position requires experience in construction administration on commercial projects and ability to manage several projects at once.   

The skill set required for this position includes high-level organizational skills, strong design and detailing skills, proven use of technology to manage people and projects, strong written and oral communication skills, comfort and experience supervising staff and delegating work.  

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture and licensure in California.  Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required as is a solid understanding of sustainable building principles. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
