The Opportunity:

MEG projects range from adding units under existing apartment buildings in SF, rear & vertical additions, complete remodels of residential homes, new homes and adaptive reuse of existing historical properties such as churches and schools.  We are passionate about design and we work with our construction partners to design and build new and innovative projects throughout the bay area.

Qualified candidates must be experienced in AutoCAD drafting of residential, multi-family and commercial structures.

Duties include:

  • Play a strong supportive role managing existing designers and engineers, insuring overall project design, quality of drawings and project organization
  • Plan and create reliable, well-coordinated CAD drawings in all phases of design
  • Lead the junior designers in generating CAD drawings according to firm standards; coach and mentor junior staff
  • Rapidly update drawings and “pick up redlines” and or insure that staff under their care is staying on all projects.
  • Prepare presentation drawings and sketch-up models when needed.
  • Research and specify materials, products and systems
  • Implement firm standards in drawing and organizational practices


  • Licensed Architect (preferred not required, but 5yrs experience needed)
  • Knowledge of CA and SF Amended Building codes.
  • Working independently and has previous experience supervising the efforts of a small team
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working on the full spectrum of design projects from schematic design through construction administration
  • Experience with maintaining a working relationship with clients
  • Proficiency with computer analysis software systems such as:
    • AutoCAD, RevitExcel
    • 3D modeling programs and presentation programs" SketchUp or Similar a plus"

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Full time salaried position with annual salary review
  • 10% above standard pay since firm is project funded, not industry funded
