We currently have a position available in our Dallas, TX office for a Quality Control Manager. The Quality Control Manager (QC Manager) is responsible for leading the daily QC responsibilities of the quality control team. The responsibilities of this role include direct oversight and review of the entire documentation work flow process and working with other in-house personnel (e.g.: Project Managers, production staff, etc.) and external personnel to produce and document a quality product, focusing on multifamily, mixed-use and hospitality spaces. Architectural, construction, or other related experience is required. The QC Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Architecture Process and Planning.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Mentor staff members that need advisement in construction technology, process and quality
  • Monitor and implement HPA Design Quality Control Program
    • Prioritize and delegate HPA projects submitted to DQC to the appropriate QC Reviewer
    • Provide weekly DQC logs and reports to stakeholders
    • Maintain HPA checklists
    • Maintain HPA DQC Manual
  • Develop and implement HPA DQC transition to data base system, i.e. SalesForce
  • Develop and implement HPA CAD Standards Manual
  • Develop and implement HPA REVIT Standards Manual
  • Develop and implement CAD Standard Sheets using CSI 4Cs, clear, concise, correct and complete
  • Develop and implement REVIT Standard Templates using CSI 4Cs, clear, concise, correct and complete
  • Develop and implement transition of HPA Catalogs to SalesForce
  • Prioritize and delegate projects into HPA Catalogs
  • Coordinate HPA standard sheets with HPA Marketing graphic design
  • Facilitate Technical Review Committee

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Licensed Architect or on the path to licensure
  • Experience in multifamily and mixed-use development
  • 10+ years of industry experience in similar project types
  • Proven track record of preparing conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documents, and other  materials
  • Established thorough knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems selection, related engineering principles, sustainability strategies and building codes
  • Demonstrated practical understanding of the application of software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Newforma
  • Experience with CSI specification formats is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and mentor other team members
  • Effective time management skills and ability to follow-up in a timely manner
  • Excellent clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Positive attitude with high energy
