PSW is looking for a talented individual to be a part of the design team located in Austin, Texas.  We are seeking an industrious self-starter with expertise in architectural design and construction document production. The primary role of Architectural Project Coordinator is producing architectural drawings for single-family, multi-family and other mixed-use project types.

This position reports to the Director of Architecture.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:       

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor (5 yr.) or Master Degree in Architecture.
  • 3+ years working in an architectural office, with the following experience:
    • Working knowledge of local zoning codes and some experience with reviewing civil engineering drawings and land plans.
    • Ability to review structural and civil drawings for completeness and coordination with architectural drawings, with the assistance of a project manager.
    • Producing construction documents under the supervision of a project manager. A thorough understanding of all drawings that are needed to construct a building is required.
    • Working knowledge of IBC and IRC.
    • 2+ years of construction observation is preferred but not required.
    • Presenting design work to clients or internal teams in a succinct, clear and professional manner.
    • Software: Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Suite.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assisting project team during Concept and Schematic Design, by creating models and drawings to help design progress.
  • Draw and coordinate land plans under supervision of Project Manager.
  • Performing zoning and building code analysis.
  • Producing construction documents from SD through CD’s.
  • Assemble presentation materials and assist in creating all project presentations.
  • Performing Construction Observation on projects under construction.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time salaried position. At PSW, all employees participate in profit sharing, in combination with a base salary package. We also provide full health benefits as well as retirement savings options.
