CORE is seeking a mid-level Hospitality Project Architect or Designer with experience in restaurant and hospitality projects to join our team of design explorers and doers who specialize in helping to create experiences by guiding our clients through a thoughtful and intentional design process. You will be experienced in directing the project process, with excellent presentation and relationship building skills, and the ability to understand and interpret client needs and requirements.


To be considered, the candidate should have 5-7 years experience and be capable of working directly with a principal and project manager to lead the design and documentation of complex, detail-oriented projects. We are seeking someone who is artistically-minded and can work in a variety of styles. You should be self-motivated and have strong presentation skills, both graphically and verbally. It is important that you are accustomed to the fast-paced and complex nature of hospitality projects. You should understand MEP and other practical considerations relative to restaurants, and be comfortable designing the full package: from interior to storefront and enjoy adapting buildings to this type of use. Code and jurisdictional requirement understanding is key. Space planning skills should include general layout and flow from front of house to back of house, as well as dynamic arrangement of seating and bar areas.

Qualified candidates should possess strong organizational, multi-tasking and creative skills with technical and analytical abilities, good product and materials knowledge; and should thrive on challenging, varied work in a busy studio environment.

Design and documentation is done in Archicad and we are a MAC based office. Experience working in BIM software is a plus; Archicad training will be provided to successful applicants.


  • Demonstrable experience of Design and Technical components
  • A good working knowledge of BIM software, as well as strong free-hand sketching skills
  • Exemplary presentation and client relations skills
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from accredited school
  • Professional License
  • Excellent graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
  • Amazing collaboration skills, proactive and highly organized are essential with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • A good understanding of FF&E, color and material specification and development
