The Biber Partnership, Architecture, Planning and Interior Design seeks candidates with 3-5 years of experience and a professional degree in Architecture for a full time architect position within our growing firm. We are an award-winning regional firm located in Summit, NJ, celebrating our 50th anniversary in practice.  

Our projects are comprised of a variety of building typologies, including corporate interiors, recreation, education, institutional and multi-family residential.  We believe in developing a positive personal chemistry with our clients that assures a smooth collaboration between the client, user and the design team.  We incorporate sustainable design into all of our projects. We are a firm that practices quality design with an understanding of context.  In recent years, we have received five AIA awards for Design Excellence.  We invite you to visit our website at www.thebiberpartnership.com.  

Our new offices in Summit, NJ provide a pleasant working environment with collaboration and break-out spaces as well as a quiet, upscale interior.  

Candidates should be motivated and self-starting with the following qualifications:

  • Experience in a variety of building typologies. Corporate interiors experience a plus.
  • Full computer literacy, proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs required.  Knowledge of Adobe graphics programs (Photoshop, in-Design & Illustrator), Sketchup, Microsoft Project, Revit and other 3D modeling programs preferred.
  • Experience in being part of a collaborative design team with input on design concepts.  Ability to contribute to design discussions at a high level with the design team.
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and self-motivate.  Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on multiple projects of all sizes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rigorous environment
  • Experience with the production and organization of Construction Documents,
  • Experience with building detailing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, consultants and contractors
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken required

Responsibilities will include:

  • Production of documentation for all phases of architectural projects, including Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration (shop drawing review, RFIs, sketches)
  • Coordination with consultants and vendors
  • Assistance with Construction Administration, both in the office and in the field
  • Assist in production of Presentation Boards and Marketing materials

Salary is commensurate based on experience and skill level. Applicants should live within commuting distance of Summit, NJ
