Architect  – 7-10 years experience, sustainability, new construction, renovations

Cycle Architecture + Planning, a unique, forward-thinking Brooklyn based firm with a mix of development, non-profit, and public sector work is seeking an experienced architect to help us with our workload.

Applicants should have knowledge and experience with NYC Building Codes and NY State Codes, detailing, spec writing, BIM (Revit, for now), and familiarity with a variety of building structures and systems. Passive House experience is desired, as is a deep understanding of architectural design.

We will favor applicants with personal qualities that fit with our friendly and collaborative office ethic. We’re looking for people who are hardworking, technically proficient, and who work well with others. We especially want to bring in people who have a desire to do meaningful work. 

Qualifications include experience in NYC, completed multi-family residential projects or commercial/industrial projects that address core and shell construction, Good writing and communications skills, and an architectural education. 

We are seeking to hire a registered architect or someone who is on the path to licensure. The candidate should have an abiding interest in fundamentals of sustainability planning, resilience, and energy efficiency, as is appropriate for architects currently practicing.
