Our San Francisco office is seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect / Project Manager with 10 to 20 years of experience, possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, and is a licensed Architect in the State of California.

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with any combination of the following: mixed-use, retail, multi-family residential involving concrete podium with light steel framing and / or cast-in-place mid-rise construction methods
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects and project teams
  • Proficiency with Revit 2015 & 2016, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with other Construction and A&E industry software applications. (i.e. Newforma, Bluebeam and Ajera / Deltek are desirable)
  • Detailed in depth knowledge and understanding of materials and methods of construction
  • Exceptional skills in construction document detailing and coordination of consultant documents
  • Broad based knowledge of structural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems along with strong understanding of civil designs and documentation
  • Excellent project management capabilities exhibited through resume & portfolio example projects
  • Comprehends design concepts in both verbal and graphic communications
  • Detailed in depth knowledge and understanding of current building/zoning codes, including ADA requirements/standards
  • On site full time construction administration experiences is an added value

Candidate responsibilities include the following:

  • Work under the collaborative direction of a Principal-in-Charge, Director of Operations, Director of Design, and Senior Designer(s) to develop then deliver constructible design concepts that respond to firm and client objectives
  • Manage the goals and expectations of the firm and assigned project client(s)
  • Develop and maintain a continuing strong client relationship(s) that seeks to develop future business opportunities
  • Develop project objectives, program, scope, schedule, and budget along with management plan to be coordinated with Principal-in-charge and Director of Operations
  • Develop staffing requirements for project team selection and work with the Director of Operations to determine Project Team assignments
  • Manage project team members and monitor performance in order to ensure compliance, (both client’s and firm’s) expectations, and quality assurance
  • Develop consultant scope of services and approve consultant fee proposal with Principal-in-Charge
  • Development and preparation of construction documents from conceptual design sketches and exhibits for mixed-use, retail, multi-family residential projects
  • Oversee the selection of building materials, project products and components for the development of construction documents
  • Prepare and/or coordinate the development and writing of project manuals, including product cut sheets, and specification sections
  • Organize, mentor, instruct project team members in development and production of construction documents
  • Conduct regular routine project team meetings both internal and with consultant team members
  • Provide written evaluations of project team members performance, including consultant team members
  • Maintain periodic project update status meetings with Principal-in-Charge and Director of Operations to meet established utilization budget goals
  • Coordinate, supervise, and guide the project consultant team members in the development of the project documents at all phases
  • Patriciate in the selection of all project team members including Consultants.
  • Conduct on-going continued QA/QC of project documents
  • Oversee construction administration either through direct involvement, or supervision and guidance of selected project team members
