We’re a small growing firm seeking people with at least a few years of professional experience who are looking to take on more responsibility. Current work includes restaurant interiors, a mixed use neighborhood in Montana, a dispensary, a burial pavilion in a forest, residential remodels, accessory dwelling units and a research project. We’re looking for people who are ready to manage a few small projects and be an important part of a team on larger ones. The bulk of our work will be on housing in the coming year, so we encourage people familiar with this typology to apply.

Because of our fast-paced small office environment, all of our staff get a chance to work on little bit of everything from schematic design through to selecting finishes and doing construction administration. This job could be a good change of pace if you’ve been working on one project for three years.

Applicants should be intellectually curious, willing to take on responsibility, and ready to ask questions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Production and coordination of design and construction documents using Revit.
  • Code analysis on renovation projects in existing buildings.
  • Creation of presentation graphics and renderings.
  • Day to day project management using the telephone, spreadsheets, Asana and other digital tools.
  • Construction administration, both in the field and in the office.

  • You should be authorized to work and currently located in the United States. We are not able to sponsor visas.
  • 2 years (minimum, post graduation) working in an architecture office or similar environment.
  • Experience with preparing construction documents for residential Type III or Type V projects (be prepared to show samples of this work).
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • An accredited undergraduate Architecture degree, or an M.Arch is required
  • Professional level of diligence, and evidence that you understand the value of double-checking, proofreading, asking questions, and otherwise paying attention to the job at hand.
  • An architectural license not required, but candidates are expected to have made progress towards licensure and be familiar with the California Building Code or IBC.

More about working here:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Employer paid health insurance.
  • Retirement plan with 3% employer match.
  • Sane working hours.
  • Pleasant ground floor office with a full kitchen in sunny Potrero Hill.
  • We’d love for you to start as soon as possible.
