Marketing Coordinator

Looking for a creative team to join? KSS Architects seeks a highly motivated individual to elevate the marketing department as a Marketing Coordinator. We offer a full-time career opportunity that provides transparent, immersive engagement with marketing in the field of architecture and design. From direct, strategic interfacing with firm leadership to handling complex information databases, the multi-talented Marketing Coordinator is a skilled collaborator, organizer, and meticulous implementer. The Marketing Coordinator will function as an essential team member, manifesting firm values and working towards major goals in content produced alongside firm staff.

The Marketing Coordinator will support a wide breadth of department responsibilities, in a dynamic and high-energy environment. The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree at minimum and 1-3 years of experience in a marketing/proposal development role for a professional services firm. A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Writing or a related discipline is preferred. Experience with project lifecycles, marketing campaigns, design, and/or the A/E/C industry is a plus.


  • Fluency in MS Office; conversational in Adobe Creative Suite; previous experience with content management systems. Preferred but not required: AutoCad, Revit, 3DS Max, Newforma.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Effective verbal, interpersonal, and written communication.
  • Organized approach to working with quick turnaround times while balancing multiple priorities and dynamic workloads.
  • Ability to execute proposals and variable assignments autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Creative mindset with understanding of visual language and ability to transform ideas from concept into final product.
  • Ability to execute short-term goals infused with long term programs/initiatives.
  • Desire to work & thrive in an innovative, personable, and flexible team environment.
  • Bonus points for skills including: photography, video production, technical research, data analysis and interactive visualization, interactive software


The Marketing Coordinator will support a wide breadth of projects, including proposal development, business development, public relations, opportunity forecasting, website maintenance, and internal/external coordination:

  • Preparing, editing, and assembling quality proposals, qualifications, presentations ranging in size and complexity from single page letters to multi-volume bound submissions.
  • Planning, organizing, and maintaining accurate website pages, project pages, resumes, business cards, and other project-related data for marketing use.
  • Preparing presentations and interview materials for client interviews, speaking opportunities, and other engagements.
  • Collaborating with design teams, administration, consultants, and partner firms.
  • Formatting, editing, and graphics creation for web, digital, and print collateral.
  • Monitoring, updating, and reporting business development efforts and marketing pipeline via client relationship management database.
  • Supporting event planning for conferences, speaking engagements, professional networking events, and company events.
  • Accomplishing additional miscellaneous as-needed projects to support marketing campaign developments and targeted efforts, ex. social/professional networking presence, email blasts.

Who we are:

On Monday mornings, we touch base firm-wide, taking turns leading a 3-minute project discussion. On Wednesdays at lunch we gather to learn about new approaches and techniques in design, management, and marketing. On Fridays at 4:30pm we kick back and veg out, with a side of trivia, board games, or succulent-planting parties. We are a serious firm that is also serious about having fun.
