NODE is a start-up company productizing radically sustainable residential buildings. We supply modular, turn-key, homes that are built in a controlled environment guaranteeing quality and project timeline. We build offsite to local building codes delivering a completely non-toxic, ready to live in, home to our client's property. Our core building products don’t just provide shelter; they facilitate a wider circle of regenerative living. We provide clients with multiple floor plans that they can configure, coupled with a curated menu of finish options. NODEs are hyper-efficient, have healthy indoor air, and can be easily moved, expanded, repurposed or recycled. We facilitate sustainable living through pre-designed, pre-engineered, options for regenerative energy and water, and integration with the grid and electric cars.

We are seeking an awesome designer who is preferably a stamped architect or engineer in the state of Washington and/ or California and/or Oregon. Someone who has creativity for solving systemic problems and who wants to productize, scale and make affordable radically sustainable design. We are looking for someone who is technically excellent with an ability to create solutions in complex (multi-stakeholder) situations.

Our ideal team member will have:

  • Creativity and flexibility in solving problems
  • Desire to make beautiful, healthy homes accessible to all.
  • Ability to see buildings as components and systems
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Experience in taking a residential project from beginning through end, including construction details, specifications, and interior finishes
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCad, Sketch-up, Microsoft Office applications, InDesign, and Photoshop required.
  • Rendering / illustration experience in 3DSMax appreciated.
  • A working knowledge of local codes and permitting processes along the West Coast.
  • Code proficiency in current IBC and IRC as well as ANSI A117.1 is required.
  • Desire to be a team member, to lead, follow and listen
  • Building experience a plus
  • 5+ years Architecture or Engineering design + project management
