Established and well-respected architectural firm in the Sarasota/Bradenton area is seeking a Sr. Architect Project Manager. This position requires a minimum of five years of experience in architectural Project Management. Must have experience with Architect in Florida; Preference will be prioritized to candidates with NCARB, LEED certification.

This is a professional architectural position with a high level of responsibility, and with management / supervisory duties. Work involves the coordination and technical supervision of varied architectural activities.

Responsibilities include managing the planning and development of design and construction documents for new, renovation and/or maintenance of public or private facilities. Also, provide a variety of public contacts in coordinating county, private and other public jurisdiction architectural activities. Supervise directly and indirectly over subordinate professional, technical and clerical personnel. Considerable independence is exercised in making a final decision on technical problems. In addition, performing construction administration services and inspections for compliance with the design documents. Competitive base salary, established benefits program, and bonus structure.

Applicants must exhibit excellent presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal skills, client leadership and demonstrated team-building ability. Experience in direct supervision and leadership of administrative and junior technical staff as well as project coordination with owners, consultants and construction managers. Proficient in computer aided design software, REVIT preferred. Experience with contract and specification writing, Microsoft Project and Excel or equivalent. Work is performed with minimal direction.

Essential Functions:

• Primary client and consultant contact

• Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of the assignment.

• May oversee the work of less experienced architects and designers.

• Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings, and develops details and edits specifications.

• Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations.

• Prepares architectural reports and progress narratives.

• Manages the internal project production and time management budget

• Manages project billing

• Develops contract documents and construction administration for large and small-scale commercial projects mandatory.

• Proficient at QA/QC and code research.

• Interacts regularly and professionally with technical staff.

• Demonstrates an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Organizational skills with a proven track record of client satisfaction while meeting deliverable and deadline requirements.
