AG Architecture is a premier senior living design firm in the US with work across the country from New Hampshire to Seattle and Michigan to Texas. We are looking for Project Management professionals that are not just looking for another job, but seek to become part of a growing architectural practice where team members have broad responsibilities and authority as well as a voice in the direction of the company.

Applicants must hold a professional degree in Architecture.  All applicants must have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in the profession including at least 5 years of experience in management of senior living or other housing type projects.  Wood frame experience is a plus.  Licensed architects with fewer than 5 years of project management experience may also be considered for the position, providing they can demonstrate substantial experience with codes as well as management and delivery of projects that include architectural, structural and MEP engineering services. Candidates must be very familiar with U.S. codes and standards.

The selected candidate will be responsible for one or more complex senior living projects.  He or she will work collaboratively with the firm leadership as well as other company leaders to achieve project goals as well as the overall goals and of the firm.  Working with senior living developers and owners, management of projects and project teams and coordination of multi-disciplinary professionals are core requirements of the position. 

As Project Manager you will act as mentor and advisor to future project managers and designers, by establishing and promoting clear and thorough project management practices both externally and internally.   Project Managers work closely with the design team and owners towards establishing and achieving a high level of innovation in designed environments.  Project Managers will also work closely with the Marketing Director to ensure that proposals are written in accordance with project processes, and the selected candidate shall lead the balancing of work effort against project fees.  

Ideal candidates should have the following:

  • Accredited professional or graduate degree in architecture with at least 8+ years professional experience.
  • Professional registration or working toward professional registration.
  • Ability to solve design and code issues through creative and analytical thinking resulting in innovative solutions to complex design problems.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently toward deadlines.
  • Ability to interact directly and effectively with principals and clients as well as all team members.
  • As most of the projects are out of state, the ability to travel is a must.
