Architects Local is a recently formed firm with a primary focus in real estate development. Though a generalist architectural firm, our specialties lie primarily in the multi-family, commercial, and hospitality markets within San Diego County and surrounding areas. Through our partnerships with other local firms, we have been involved in several projects that were subsequently nominated for Orchids by the San Diego Architectural Foundation. Please refer to our website [] for additional information.

Architects Local is now seeking to add a Project Architect to our current staff of 14. Candidates must be highly motivated and possess the ability to assist a principal in leading a project team from Schematic Design through Construction. Given the youth of our firm, the successful candidate will join us as the most experienced staff member which will be reflected in the responsibilities and expectations placed upon him/her. Consequently, growth potential will be limited only by his/her own limitations.

  • 5-8 years of experience, preferably in wood framed multifamily residential architecture
  • Professional Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree or Master of Architecture (MArch)
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Able to produce high quality graphical output in both presentation and construction documents
  • Highly developed skills in client communications and consultant coordination
  • Capable of producing Construction Documents (emphasis on details) with minimal supervision
  • Able to lead an internal project team of 2-4 people

  • Conversant in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lumion or VRay, MS Office Suite
  • Registration as an architect is not required, but advancement through the registration process is highly preferred
  • Experience in Construction Administration
