Architects Orange (AO) seeks a highly organized marketing professional to lead the development and coordination of all marketing activities. The individual will work closely with leadership on strategic direction and execution of the firm’s goals and lead the marketing team. The ideal candidate should be both big picture and detail oriented, highly organized and have excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for all marketing activities across AO's eight studios and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the firm.

Core responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Strategy: Work with Partners to develop and facilitate the execution of strategic goals. Development and implementation of AO's marketing strategy, as well as associated marketing communications and public relations activities, both external and internal. Development/management of annual marketing calendar.
  • Branding: Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all collateral. Manages production of all print and digital brochures, mailers, announcements, and site signage.
  • Team Leadership: Direct, mentor and support a marketing team, currently consisting of one Marketing Coordinator, to ensure objectives are met.
  • Public Relations: Facilitate public relations across traditional and social media outlets. Manages preparation of press releases. Assists in writing and placement of articles for publication. Develop short and long-term goals, objectives and budgets for marketing/public relations and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
  • Website: Manage website and web content. Manage social media presence and analytics analysis.
  • Lead Tracking: Manage pursuit tracking and existing clients technically in CRM database, lead research, and facilitate proactive marketing efforts.
  • Pursuit Management: Lead the pursuit process, working with leadership and the marketing team to schedule and develop Marketing Database: Responsible for and manages the writing and updating of new project data.  Oversees the maintenance of the marketing files (electronic and paper), interview materials, images, resumes, project data sheets, PowerPoint presentations. Takes the lead in the coordination of photography of all completed projects.
  • Event Organization: Takes lead in coordination of tradeshows, conferences, job fairs.
  • Award Submittals: Primary coordinator of awards submittals - tracks schedules and processes and assists with in-house submittal efforts.
  • Successfully work within the constraints of schedule and budget to consistently produce superior results.

Education and Work Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in marketing, communications and public relations with demonstrated success in the A/E/C industry in a supervisory marketing position.
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, journalism, architecture, communications, graphics or related field.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing communications and public relations activities.
  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases and overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work at and with senior level management within the firm.
  • Excellent ability to multi-task, responding to constantly changing needs and schedules.
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and CRM systems.
