MG2 is looking for a talented Director of Business Development & Strategy located in our Seattle office. 

The Director of Business Development and Strategy works closely with MG2’s Principals to lead, plan, modify, implement, and oversee marketing strategies that work to reach firm revenue goals, accumulating clients and growing the business. This position pursues relationships within the regional community, as well as national clients and peers that can work to grow our markets & accounts. Act as a bridge between these networks and our internal staff to develop business connections.

Lead the marketing team to thoughtfully develop corporate communication efforts, including media relations, internal communications, brand development, event activities and community outreach.

The Director of Business Development & Strategy is expected to exhibit the behavior of a leader at all times. At MG2, leaders demonstrate a consulting approach to managing and advising a diverse audience of stakeholders. They extend themselves to others. Leaders own their area of expertise and respectfully advise internal clients. They seek out challenges and opportunities to stretch beyond their comfort zone.

  • Responsible for new business development, creation of brand building strategies, and identification of potential market segment opportunities.
  • Own revenue generation through new account development with market leadership.
  • Work with firm leadership to develop long-range business goals and tactical achievement plans
  • Works with many stakeholders to define and lead corporate marketing campaigns
  • Owns responsibility for firm's brand positioning and how it is reflected in all communications and collateral
  • Directs all external and internal communications programs
  • Provides organizational leadership, mentorship, and professional development of the marketing team.
  • Works with studio/market leaders to identify opportunities and develop marketing plans
  • Provides confident leadership to Principals to deliver marketing, communications, and business development solutions
  • Ensures that marketing plans and priorities align with firm-wide goals and strategic plans
  • Develops, maintains, and communicates MG2’s brand



  • 15 years business development and marketing experience
  • Minimum 10 years team leadership experience
  • Proven ability to build new client relationships and leverage many stakeholders to achieve business development goals
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction industry preferred
  • Actively involved with external community & professional organizations
  • Proven business development track record
  • History of successful business development strategies
  • Multiple stakeholder team leadership
  • Development of Marketing professionals
  • Client relationship building
