Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

As Bookkeeper at DXA studio, you’ll have an opportunity to work side-by-side with the Partners to achieve its short and long-term financial goals.

About You:

  • You have 5+ years bookkeeping experience
  • You're highly proficient in QuickBooks with solid professional references.
  • You’re obsessively detail-oriented, while at the same time, a big-picture thinker.
  • You’re eager to contribute to the general management of an emerging firm.
  • You’re interested in architecture and interior design.

In this critical role reporting directly to the Partners, you’ll have oversight of all aspects of studio finance and accounting for the rapidly growing 30-person firm in NYC.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, monthly reconciliation of all accounts, preparation of Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Ledger; support short & long-term planning.
  • Prepare invoices for Project Managers / Partners approval; manage all aspects of billing and collections.
  • Ensure timesheets and expense reports are submitted accurately and on-time; prepare and process payroll through payroll vendor.
  • Provide timely response to inquiries from employees / clients / vendors.
  • Prepare monthly project reports and review with Partners / Consultants.
  • Partner with tax accountant on quarterly / annual tax filings and payments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of full charge bookkeeping experience.
  • Highly proficient in QuickBooks and Excel; Deltek Vision a strong plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Valid US working permit required.

This will be a part-time position with on-site presence 2 days per week minimum, and availability to respond to calls / emails during regular business hours rest of the week. Compensation to commensurate with experience.
