Weather Projects is a full-service architecture studio based in Los Angeles, California. Working on multiple scales and types of projects, Weather engages the ever-changing and ever-present social, economic, and natural environments through a dialogue with physical forms and spaces that consider context, function, and effects. The focus of the work revolves around ideas, attitudes, and strategies regarding, typology and organizational models, diffuse boundaries, fields and aggregations, and a preference for the primitive over the complex.  The studio's belief is these physical forms, spaces, and artifacts have the ability to offer society a sense of place, of fascination, and a new way of experiencing the world.

Weather Projects is currently seeking a intermediate architect / designer position. Responsibilities will include; project design, coordination, documentation from SD- CD phases. Compensation will be commensurate to experience, insurance, vacation and other benefits details will be discussed further with candidate.

Successful candidates will have a professional degree in architecture, strong design and 3D modeling skills, have experience in working in collaborative environments, and demonstrate effective problem solving and communication skills. Candidate will prove to show strong organizational skills, knowledgeable regarding interior and exterior detailing, be able to coordinate a complete set of documents. The candidate should be self-motivated, flexible, and be able to work in a faced paced studio environment.

Minimum requirements include

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in an architecture firm  
  • Master's or Bachelors Degree in Architecture  
  • Experience coordinating projects in Los Angeles with familiarity of CA building codes and LADBS filing / approvals process  
  • Experience with organizing and producing drawings sets from SD to CD
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit and Adobe Software
  • Self-reliant and resourceful  
  • Exceptional design ability and critical thinking
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining quality
  • Proven organizational abilities and consistent attention to detail
  • Strong graphic and communication skills 
  • All legal permits and visas required to work in USA
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
