Cushing Terrell is an award winning, employee-owned corporation of more than 400 architecture and engineering team members.  Each of our offices is a community with a focus on contributing to the built environment where they live, work, and play.  Our Seattle team excels in high-end retail design while also working on projects in the hospitality, healthcare and commercial markets, with the goal to expand these sectors as our team continues to grow.   

We are seeking a talented individual with 5-10 years of experience to join our team as a Project Architect.   We believe our ability to deliver an excellent design product is based on our capacity to attract and retain talented, creative, self-directed people that are excited to champion projects and become an integral part of our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and coordination of design and construction documents, working drawings, specifications, cost estimates and related documentation.
  • Develop and interpret design concepts and evaluate alternatives while maintaining technical and design control.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction materials, standards, codes and jurisdictional processes.
  • Self-directed in the preparation and coordination of design documents.
  • On-site project observation as required during design and construction.
  • Understand and meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Quality control and design detailing.

Qualifications:

  • Accredited professional degree in Architecture
  • Registered Architect or in process of licensure
  • 5-10 years of experience in the architectural field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to build productive relationships with clients and other disciplines in a professional manner
  • High standards of organization, presentation and completion of project tasks
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • SketchUp proficiency preferred
  • LEED accreditation desirable
