Allied Works Architecture is a 40-person practice with offices in New York City and Portland, Oregon.  Projects include cultural, academic, corporate, and residential work located in multiple states across the country.  We are currently seeking applicants for a part-time Office Assistant in our New York office. 


  • Frequent communication among bi-coastal offices, firm principal, architectural and support staff
  • Reception duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, accepting packages, etc.
  • Oversight and tidying of general office areas (supplies, material library, kitchen, conference rooms, etc)
  • Manage all vendor services
  • Coordinate general office meetings, internal office events and special events
  • Coordinate facilities upgraded under direction of Director, NYC office

Qualification requirements include:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership and administrative skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively juggle multiple deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite & Keynote desirable
  • One year experience as administrative support staff desired, with preference for experience in a architecture, design or communications related field
