Position Summary:

HansonLA is seeking an exceptionally talented senior architect to join our firm. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, demanding professional environment, is detail-oriented and highly organized, possesses strong technical skills, and is capable of fulfilling a leadership role in the office. The primary role of this position will be to lead the technical development of architectural systems and details for all projects, and work closely with the project design team to maintain the highest level of quality control.


  • Responsible for various portions of project development in the following phases: Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, bidding documents, and permit documents
  • Assist in supervising project document control tasks across all projects and maintain quality control of such tasks
  • Perform code review and work with various governing agencies for code compliance


  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Completion of five or six-year architectural degree program
  • Minimum 10 years experience in document production and detailing for large-scale, commercial projects is required
  • Extensive knowledge of architectural design, documentation, detailing, building materials, building codes, LEED requirements, and construction technologies
  • Ability to confidently, clearly, and effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Proficiency in Rhino, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Licensed in the state of California is a plus
  • LEED certified
