Our interdisciplinary design firm – with five decades of clients, projects, and experience – is looking for a visionary Design Technology Coordinator interested in applying current and future technologies to our firm’s established culture of design.

  • This position requires ambition, as well as excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills for daily use in a dynamic, interactive design team environment.
  • The Design Technology Coordinator will have the support of, and direct access to, the offices of our CEO, our Managing Principals, and our CFO, aligning staff and project needs with technology-driven opportunities, inclusive of hardware, software, training, and other investments necessary to innovatively adopt BIM in a consistent manner.
  • The successful candidate will be forward-thinking – proactive in anticipating or identifying then prioritizing the needs of our 30+ (soon to be 50+) AutoDesk Revit users based, collectively, in our New York and San Francisco offices.
  • The Design Technology Coordinator will lead our expansion of BIM tools in future projects.  The successful candidate will research expanded BIM workflows beyond Design Authoring, possibly including Phase and Time-line Scheduling, BIM Assisted RFIs, BIM Assisted Submittals, Lifespan and Operational Modeling, Digital Fabrication Drawings, etc.
  • Familiarity with lean project processes, including team structure, cloud-based collaboration, and legal controls (digital data agreements, BIMx Plans, etc) would be considered a plus.
  • Desktop support for Revit, BIM360, and NavisWorks (including clash detection reporting), during continued growth of our user pool – inclusive of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and planners – will be expected of the successful candidate.
  • Technical expertise in both BIM production as well as general construction documentation/ scheduling/ specifying will position the Design Technology Coordinator to (i) provide high-level design contributions to many, if not all, live BIM projects in the firm while (ii) leading our consistent adoption of BIM templates, families, schedules, and other parametric tools for our Revit users.
This position requires:
  • Technical expertise in enterprise-wide BIM enabling applications and experience working in a BIM Management role, including experience with Revit and AutoCAD applications.
  • Acting as a BIM Champion.
  • Successful candidates will have experience working independently and as part of an effective team.

The successful candidate will have a professional degree in architecture and 10+ years' architecture experience including 8+ years' of BIM experience.
