We currently have a Sr. Designer position available in our Dallas, TX office, focusing on high-rise multifamily residential and mixed-use projects. The Designer may assist in or lead multiple design projects, from initial concept through the design development phase. This professional’s responsibilities will include collaborating with clients/consultants and the high-rise Design team to develop overall project design, ensuring design quality via precise documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with and/or provides leadership of projects
  • Participates in client meetings and presents creative concepts to clients
  • Coordinate the completion of site plan and schematic design drawings for increasingly complex projects under supervision of the department head
  • Research applicable codes and ordinances for assigned project
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure the drawings incorporate the client’s program and reflect company design standards
  • Lead project team coordination meetings and serve as the primary communicator with the client and consultants during the site plan and schematic design phase
  • Participates in concept, schematic, and design development phases of the project
  • Produces plans, sections, elevations and working sketches
  • Reviews the plat survey, topography, photos, market study and program requirements to produce land plans
  • Adheres to time constraints and established deadlines

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field required; Master’s degree in architecture preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience; Licensure is desirable
  • Must have experience with small to large scale multifamily projects
  • Must have experience with laying out and detailing unit and floor plan designs
  • Must have previous high-rise experience in order to conduct high-density studies
  • Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with a low level of supervision
  • Strong graphic and verbal skills
  • Ability to listen and communicate with clients about prospective ideas
  • Ability to present design work to key stakeholders
  • Travel may be required
