Mar Silver Inc. is a full-service interior design firm specializing in luxury residential interiors, custom furniture and decor. Our core business involves design, fabrication, procurement and installation of all elements that complete a residential project. A good spirit, positive attitude and sense of humor are a must, as well as attention to detail, ability to take direction, ask questions and get the job done successfully, seamlessly and efficiently. Must be able to manage complex tasks and deliver multiple projects on tight deadlines, while being flexible to adjust to changing needs.

Ideal candidate is expected to have:

  • Degree from an accredited Interior Design Program or Architecture Program
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in High End Residential Interior Design in an established Interior Design or Interior Architecture Practice.
  • Good understanding of the residential interior design business
  • Good understanding of residential construction process, permitting process, procurement process; this position will play a key role in coordination of trades, fabricators and suppliers from early design phase through construction completion.
  • Outstanding CAD drafting skills; hand sketch capabilities a plus.
  • Strong technical and design skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Maintain project flexibility with the ability to adapt to change
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to generate and review deliverables pertaining to various design phases: Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Millwork Shop Drawings
  • Shop Drawings Experience
  • Computer Savy: proven knowledge of Studio Webware, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excell, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign), Sketch-up.

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Reporting to the Design Director, draft comprehensive deliverables for construction or fabrication purposes; generate furniture layouts, wall elevations, sections, construction details, lighting RCPs, hardware schedules, paint schedules, windows and door schedules, millwork drawings, etc.
  • Research and specify furniture, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, kitchen equipment, fabrics and all other specialty materials and items as required by the project
  • Reach out to suppliers, order samples, place, track and receive orders for all furniture and fixtures as required
  • Coordinate orders, deliveries and site installations
  • Generate client presentation deliverables as well as presentation trays for palettes, materials and finishes
  • Generate client’s proposals and purchase orders using Studio Webware Software
