We are a small architecture firm seeking someone with strong graphic and problem solving skills for an immediate opening. We work on a wide variety of projects, from restaurant interiors and residential remodels to temporary urban projects, research documents and larger housing schemes. Most of our current work is multifamily housing, at a variety of scales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Production and coordination of design and construction documents in 2D and 3D using Revit.

  • Day to day project management using spreadsheets, Asana and other digital tools.

  • Construction administration, both in the field and in the office.


  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in an architecture office.

  • You must have experience with preparing construction documents for residential Type III or Type V projects and be able to show samples of this work.

  • An accredited undergraduate Architecture degree, or an M.Arch is required

  • Proficiency with Revit and the usual array of Adobe graphics software is required

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills are required

  • Professional level of diligence, and evidence that you understand the value of double-checking, proofreading, asking questions, and otherwise paying attention to the job at hand.

  • Must be self-directed and able to manage multiple small projects at once.

  • An architectural license not required, but candidates are expected to have made substantial progress towards licensure and be familiar with the California Building Code.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

We can offer some flexibility in the hours and work location, but would like to have you in our Potrero Hill office at least 30 hours per week. Independent contractors looking for steady part time work are also encouraged to contact us. Applicants must be available for an in person interview. We would prefer a start date of early September.

Pay + Benefits:

Pay is commensurate with experience. Full time positions are salaried. Salaried workers receive paid health insurance after 60 days, along with 10 days of PTO (+ 5 days sick time), and 10 paid holidays. We work reasonable hours in a sunlit office with a full kitchen.

  1. One-page cover letter. Please include a brief written statement (approximately 200 words) explaining why you are interested in practicing architecture.

  2. One-page resume outlining your education and work experience, and listing related skills

  3. Portfolio of work for which you have primary authorship. Please include a variety of work product, including hand sketches, technical drawings, digital renderings, and photos of models. We would expect this email document would be a small sample of your work and you would be able to show us a larger portfolio if we interview you.
