Project Architect

We are seeking a Project Architect with multi-residential/mixed-use and/or commercial experience. Our ideal candidate is an individual who has a solid experience with the entire architectural process, from design through construction administration.

We are an architectural metal systems company based in San Francisco, owned by architects, contractors and designers. We specialize in ultra-modern design systems for balcony guardrails, stair guard rails, wall screens, canopies and fencing. You will be participating in a wide variety of national and international landmark projects.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to obtain experience in all facets of the field of Architecture and expand his/her architectural and design skills beyond conventional architecture. You will be working directly with internationally recognized architects, designers and contractors across the nation to resolve challenging design and technical solutions by guiding architects to achieve their design vision utilizing Bok Moderns proprietary systems. You will then oversee installation of our products on site working directly with installers.

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited architecture program
  • Excellent technical skills as well as creative design skills (production experience in Type 1 through Type V necessary)
  • Excellent management and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Minimum of 5+ years of architectural studio experience
  • Experience in multi-family and mixed-use projects preferred as well as a diverse range of building types and uses. Experience with construction detailing in diverse range of building types.
  • AutoCAD proficiency a must; Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch-Up and Photoshop a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, coordinating with multiple vendors/ sources
  • Ability to resolve issues at job site during construction administration
  • Must have strong sense of commitment and responsibility for final product
  • Autonomous, proactive and professional attitude
  • Punctuality and discipline

TERMS: − Full time- on site only − Salary depending on experience
