Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a full-time studio-based Visualization Specialist to join our design team in Los Angeles. The candidate will work collaboratively with our team, creating photorealistic renderings of the spaces we design to be used for client presentations and for publication. The candidate’s renderings should evoke a compelling sense of place, lighting, texture, and mood. The candidate will also model and render to the same high standard studio-designed furniture and products.

Desired skills:

  • a thorough and in-depth knowledge of Photoshop, Rhino, 3DS Max, V-Ray, and SketchUp is essential, as well as experience with AutoCAD and the ability to read and interpret architectural plans and technical drawings;
  • a thorough knowledge of the technical process of creating a photorealistic image, including composition, lighting, camera set-up, texturing etc;
  • the foresight to choose the most appropriate workflow for the situation;
  • aptitude to work under tight deadlines and excellent time management skills;
  • ability to receive artistic and technical critique and act upon it as and where appropriate;
  • ability to interpret ambiguous aesthetic direction;
  • strong communication skills and ability to provide a clear indication of project timeframes and manage expectations of team members;
  • strong passion for the visual arts, for 3d rendering and CGI technologies and the possibilities and potential that they bring;
  • 3D animation creation and digital film industry experience (advertising, short film) is an advantage;
  • highly refined presentation skills;
  • fluency in English is critical.

We are looking for a candidate with a keen eye for design and composition; somebody who can manipulate light and shadow, color and texture, and tell a story through imagery.
