Bennett Benner Partners, an innovative, award-winning, multi-disciplinary design practice, is looking for a full time Registered Project Architect to help us in the preparation of construction documents and in construction administration.   Our firm offers architecture, planning, landscape architecture and interior architecture from our office in downtown Fort Worth.  Our practice focuses on work that improves communities and adds value to our clients through thoughtful design, careful execution, sustainability and a high level of client service.  In this position, you would work with a team of other design professionals on a variety of interesting and challenging projects.

What you will be expected to do:

  • Coordinate and possibly lead the work of our architectural or interiors teams to complete design and construction documents
  • Interpret design concepts in partnership with the project design lead and translating them into elegant and workable construction details.
  • Maintain and elevate our firm’s high standards for design quality and technical accuracy
  • Be collaborative and respectful with your co-workers, our consultants and our clients.
  • Coordinate the work of our specialty consultants and in-house project teams.
  • Foster good communication between all members of the design team
  • Take responsibility for meeting our client’s schedule and budget expectations
  • Work with the Project Manager to establish work priorities and to meet our internal project schedule and budget goals.
  • Help maintain project records and document project decisions and history.
  • Understand and help promote our firm’s approach and philosophies through your work.
  • Mentor other staff and readily share your knowledge and experience.
  • Represent the firm and our values to clients and potential clients.

Skills and experience you will need:

  • Minimum of ten to fifteen years working in an architectural office on a variety of building types.
  • Sensitivity and passion for architecture and good design.
  • Ability to manage the demands of multiple near- and long-term deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes.
  • A penchant for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, collaboration skills and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Architecture 2016 and Revit 2016
  • Excellent organization, time management and scheduling skills
  • Ability to appropriately represent our firm with clients and potential clients
  • Ability to take the initiative and work in teams as well as comfort in working with our senior leaders to prepare construction documents and to perform construction administration duties.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
