The Marketing Coordinator/Graphics Specialist will be responsible for promoting the firm's services within the K-12 and higher education markets.  The candidate must be a skilled communicator - capable of crafting clear and compelling narratives verbally and visually across a range of collateral in concert with the vision and priorities and in service of the firm's marketing and business development objectives.  The incumbent will work closely with the firm’s Principals and PR firm to meet short and long-term marketing goals.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Develop thorough and meaningful understanding of PAI’s portfolio of work and capabilities
  • Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies that leverage PAI's profile and qualifications to secure new work, burnish firm reputation and expand firm influence as thought leaders to desired audiences
  • Spearhead development of leads to create and uncover new job prospects in education markets
  • Follow-up on leads for new work, establish contacts and strategically build relationships with new client representatives 
  • Manage partnerships with higher education associations and organizations and maintain a calendar listing their conferences and special events
  • Prepare written content about firm and projects for use in all internal and external communications (firm profiles, project descriptions, staff biographies, interviews, press releases, etc.)
  • Design and produce SOQ's and project proposals with minimal assistance
  • Coordinate, manage, and write winning responses to RFPs from colleges and universities
  • Curate and/or create and supervise preparation of all content for firm's participation in a broad range of awards programs
  • Maintain and update the firm's website
  • Supervise organization and maintenance of firm's physical and digital archives
  • Manage all activities related to documentation of the firm's work through Photography, Film, Video
  • Respond to media inquiries and support the firm's Public Relations consultant as necessary


The Marketing Coordinator / Graphics Specialist is a creative, motivated, and highly collaborative person.  He/She is an excellent communicator, problem solver and action-oriented team player, with a deep understanding of the design industry and the practice areas within the education sector.  Required skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, design, marketing, communications or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a marketing position with a design or other professional services firm
  • Excellent graphic design and visualization skills
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software programs
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to organize social/promotional events (strong hospitality skills)
  • Marketing experience within the education field preferred
  • Los Angeles area resident

Compensation Package: The annual salary will be set based upon the successful applicant's experience and demonstrated skill level.  The benefits package is one of the most competitive/attractive in our industry and includes health care, a 401k plan, disability insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
