They currently have an immediate need for an INTERMEDIATE or SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER to join their collaborative design team. Self-motivated, young leaders who want to work on a wide variety of projects including retail, commercial, and residential, healthcare and institutional work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interior Design candidates must have a CIDA accredited B.A., B.F.A., B.S. or Bachelors of Interior Design (or equivalent degree) and 3-5 years relevant US experience for Intermediate Interior Designer or 6-10 years relevant US experience for Senior Interior Designer.  NCIDQ Certification & LEED AP a plus.
  • Possess good organization and communication skills; and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent creative presentation and visualization skills and ability to convey their ideas clearly.
  • Strong leadership skills, with an interest in managing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of interior design including space planning, programming, finishes and FF&E.
  • Excellent design and technical skills with a focus on materials and construction detailing.  Strong skills in assembling complete finish, furniture, FF&E packages / presentations.
  • Must have strong relationships with market vendors, with extensive experience creating purchase orders for clients.
  • Project experience in New York City a plus
  • Commercial interiors experience is necessary
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes a plus.
  • Software Skills should include AutoCAD and Adobe CS.  Rendering software a plus (3D Studio Max, Rhino, and/or SketchUp), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Permanent legal authorization to work in the US and fluent in verbal and written English.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with projected annual salary of $55 - 70k for an Intermediate Designer and $75 - 95k in addition to a complete benefits package including career advancement, profit sharing, 401k, fully employer-funded medical insurance, TransitChek and partial educational/training reimbursements.
