Architect needed to fill some terrific mid-size project shoes here at RAC. You will run point on several jobs and work directly with design and management principals as well as a great staff. Ideal candidate will have that lifelong interest in how to move projects from inception to construction, on budgets and will appreciate the fast-track pace and environment that can only be well-balanced by truly skilled team players.

You are creative and adaptive in all areas, self-motivated, quick thinking and not intimidated by what less qualified individuals may perceive as chaos.

Requirements include a professional degree, a minimum of 8-12 years experience with construction-oriented design leadership, experience balancing multiple projects and staff on a fast pace, comfort adapting to strategic deadlines, good under pressure, and ability to joke with the best of us at our Friday happy hour.  Licensing is almost certainly a must, but not a deal-breaker.  We place a high value on getting good work done and verbal + written communication skills will be essential as well as contractual thinking, capability in autoCAD, Revit, and Adobe programs.  Entry level requirements include a thick skin and a fully formed sense of humor.

Ah, the perks.  We offer vacation, holiday, and sick pay, health insurance, retirement, and did we mention happy hour?  We have a great team of people doing great work from design, to fabrication, to construction.  We've been on the LA River for 15 years (which is becoming an easier place to find on the map and find a great meal lately).  And we simply make great things and great spaces. We love what we do.  Wanna speed-date?

Please apply through the Archinect portal.
