Simlow Research Center and Cellar

JLGA is currently designing renovations to the Cellar and Mezzanine levels at NYU Langone Medical Center’s Smilow Research Center as part of the rebuilding work after the effects of Super Storm Sandy.

The 40,000 sq. ft. renovation includes a plastic surgery learning suite with 44-seat flexible lecture hall, a 1,534 sq. ft. cadaveric skills laboratory and support spaces. Additional programs on the floor include an 1,800 sq. ft. laboratory research core facility, a new morgue to serve the hospital and medical school and materials management storage. New mechanical systems are being designed to replace the storm-damaged systems.
