Hello,
My name is Julia. I am a 5th year student at Drury University and will be graduating this May 2016 with a M.Arch and a BA in Art History. Immediately following graduation, I will be relocating to the Bay Area permanently.
My love for art and my love for architecture are highly connected as I believe they share a similar expressive language.
I believe design details and the tectonic expression of these design details are of highest significance.
Through the development of my capstone and my thesis projects, I have found a strong interest in cultures - ours and others - as well as the elements of conflict. My Art History Capstone topic focused on art from areas of diaspora and my Architecture Thesis topic discusses the resolution of remaining ethnic tension post-conflict. Through these studies, I have research surrounding locations throughout the world.
I have also worked at local architecture firms for the past two years of schooling, gaining priceless knowledge and work experience. This experience is apparent in my IDP record as I have completed a substantial number of hours prior to graduation.
I am seeking full-time employment in the Bay Area post graduation.
