Saturation Pavilion

Saturation is a pavilion that utilizes color, form and space to engage its audience in various ways. Colors are separated by warms and cools, which are then painted on alternating sides of each wood member. As users circulate around and through the pavilion their experience intensifies at oblique angles when both sets of colors can be seen.

Composed of a looped hallway with a central open space, users are encouraged to experience the space both in motion and in stasis as well as in communal and individual ways. Saturation subverts the courtyard typology by allowing views through the structure, blurring inside and outside.
