As part of an update and artifact change-out to the Autry National Center’s Journeys Gallery new interpretive panels were needed. I was tasked with designing something new and bold for each Native American geographical section. The design took the form of a three-dimensional graphic panel with exposed plywood edges. The pressure-sensitive vinyl, bold color insets and inlay frisk-it historical photos take full-advantage of the added depth by sliding in and out of the shadow lines.
