The prison space is idealized and used as a point of accumulation and individual study. In turn, the regime contravenes production which is subject to much of the population in Puerto Rico.
The trial work in the prison system or correctional is marginally relevant to obtaining value or goodwill. the orientation in low paid jobs pay scales seems to reflect a bias related to the level of education or Inmate training. However, the State of Emergency become the norm within the prison and favors reversion of disciplinary mechanisms applicable to society and in terms of the production of surplus capital through work and criminal the insertion of new forms of rehabilitation. It has the potential to make the production of capital a regulation for control, manipulation and rehabilitation of the offender, as it is applied in overall social system.
The proposed program is focused on the creative economy which uses the artistic or creative capabilities of the Inmate. Would address the development of creative goods from initial idea to the final product. Create a confined space where they can live, work and educate. The program would use creativity as a raw material for the education and production. The main programs are:
-Education and Production
-Spaces of interaction
-Prison Services
Activities such as art, media, design, creative cuisine and "performing arts". Also this program can be set to other users outside the prison complex through the academic offerings and community workshops.
