Hospi-Hotel
The capstone project for my architecture degree consists in the idea of generating a specific program that could activate the abandon surroundings of an already built train station. In the early stage of investigation, we began to realize that a big part of the problem of the immediate context of the station was in the “in-between spaces”. This “spaces” commonly see in suburban context, were situated in the middle of the path between the train station and the primordial destinations, making the pedestrian experience not likeable or safe. Once we defined the Metropolitan Hospital as the main destination, we decide to follow the idea of using the lot considered as the “in-between” to insert a medical tourism infill. This way it will consolidate the zone as medical district, and hopefully activate the abandon lots near the station.
