About

I'm an Architect in Training and Interior Designer from Puerto Rico with a passion for minimalist/functional design with a hint of personality.
I graduated from the Architecture School in Syracuse University in 2007, and later from the Interior Design program in the San Juan School of Interior Design in 2011.

During my career I have assisted both in the development and production phases of the design process. This includes working on site documentation, conceptual design, design development, model making, visual presentation design, 3d design, renderings, construction documents, spec. drawings, selection of fabrics and furniture, preparation of FF&E's, custom installations, preparation of presentation boards, among other tasks.

During the past several years, I have completed my studies in interior design while also producing several projects independently. These include the redesign of a 3,000 sq. ft. two-story walk up, inside and out; as well as the redesign of a 4,000 square foot country chalet.

Employment

Studio Rodar, New York, NY, US, Temporary Intermediate Architect

I created detailed As-Built Cad Documents for several Apts., including site visits and photographic documentation. I developed design proposals for said projects, and worked in the conceptual development phase of an Interior Couryard space of 40,000 sq ft. for a school. I also met with Interior Design consultants and clients. My work also included designing an overall graphic design and Powerpoint presentation for client.

Freelance Architecture & Design, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Freelance Graphic and Interior Designer

My independent work as a graphic designer encompassed graphic design for Ciudadela Nights, branding design for MEG accessories, logo & graphic design work for Opina.com, and logo & graphic work for Kairos/Aragon.

My designs as a freelance interior designer included staging model apartments for Ciudadela, space planning and distributing for Ciudadela Nights, and two residential redesigns that were basically gutted and refinished. The first residence was a 3,000 sq. ft. two story walkup and I worked on everything from as-built documentation to designing a low budget kitchen and building custom interior finishings. The second residence is a 4,000 sq. ft. country chalet, the redesign consisted mainly on replacing the existing roof structure and allowing a double height space and a new mezzanine. The floors finishing, kitchen, windows and doors, were also changed.
