The Decatur residence was a competition entry for the Decatur Modern design competition. The design was selected for inclusion in the development portfolio of a new residential community near Decatur, Georgia. Also known as the Over-Reach House, the design maximizes a small footprint and pushes the private spaces up over the living and utility spaces. The design is wood framed, uses inexpensive materials such as cementitious siding, and was created to meet a $100 per square foot construction budget.
