so i'm gonna be in new orleans for the aias forum 2004 around new year's eve. it'll be my first time to new orleans and was wondering if anyone knows how that town gets on new year's eve. also, what are some things/projects worth checking out?
haven't spent new year's there in years, but you can bet there will be some obnoxious college football fans in town for the Sugar Bowl. Although it won't happen this year - imagine Florida and Florida State fans meeting each other in the French Quarter where almost anything goes. Ugh.
fireworks over the river are nice. and of course, the abundant liquor is nice, too. just go with the flow downtown. contact Tulane's school of architecture to find out their local forum reps. and try to get together with them. They'll have a better feel for what's going on in the city.

club 360 at the top of the world trade center is the best view of the entire city and fireworks for new years!
