Make exceptional work using their digital tools and design methodology and aesthetic and simply give it a try. I know some people who worked there and they didn't have a big name university on their cv (just TU Delft) nor did they have to kiss ass to some well connected tutor or instructor...good luck.
its not happening, sorry. zha gets hundreds of applicants per week on their jobs portal and virtually none of it gets read before going straight to the trash.
if you want an internship, go to harvard/yale/cornell/princeton/columbia, and hope that an instructor with ties to zha takes interest in you and your work. even then, you've only improved your chances from nil to ~20%.
I can attest to this. Although you don’t have to graduate from a top school, you either have to make a connection with someone high up or have an absolutely amazing portfolio to be considered. After that, you’ll probably get shafted by the UK’s visa policies and won’t end up going anyway.
