M.Arch Decision!

Hello. I got into few schools for M. Arch and I need to make a decision soon. These are the schools I got accepted to.

Pratt
University of Washington
SCI-Arc
Parsons's New School
RISD

My first choice is UW, but wanted to hear everyone else's opinions.
Thanks :)

If you already have a first choice then go for it, I wouldn't think you would find anything on here that should bear enough weight to sway you.

Depends on whether you can afford them or not. But if you can afford your first choice, well, then it's a no-brainer.

I can't really afford any of those schools. I am still waiting on FAFSA and funding process to complete. I am still debating between UW and SCI-Arc.

ahh, I remember going through that debate a while back...

The two schools couldn't really be much different, go to UW if you want practicality, go to sci-arc if you want innovation.

I, personally, decided on UCLA.

I agree with witty. UW for practicality, SciArc for innovation and Pratt is somewhere in between...where you can get a good mix of both. It all depends on where you want to end up after graduation. Go to UW for the connections if you want to work in Seattle as they have a tight knit alumni community. Go to Pratt for breaking into the New York market and Sciarc will get you into the Los Angeles pool and train you to work at places like Morphosis. It all depends on what type of firm you are looking to work for and what you want you life to be post grad school. Seems like you have a couple different trajectories from these choices.

Hello everybody,

I am an international applicant and I have received admission offer from some schools.
I can only know them from their website and it would be very helpful if anybody says which one has more prospective outcomes regarding job opportunities, better cities and more importantly modern but practical curriculum not a very conservative and classic one. Here are the expenses for international students (for 2 Yrs):

SCI-Arch:$90,000
ISU: $24,000 (with TA, Fellowship and 50% tuition scholarship for the 1st year),
UB: $60,000 (still waiting for TA decisions)
NCSU: 65,000$

I think about ISU but I am willing to pay if one of the others is really much more worthy.

Please help, especially US applicants, any opinion will be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
