I'm on a waitlist in Cornell & SCI-Arc.
(accepted at Pratt & Syracuse..with tiny scholarship..)
and just found out on this site that schools accept from waitlist even in middle of June...
the problem is.. if I wait for Cornell & SCI-Arc, then I won't be able to register for Pratt & Syracuse since the registration ends in early May.
Im now thinking with my low GPA(3.1/4.0) & GRE(410/790/3.0) and poor porfolio(I made in a week), I probably might not make it to Cornell nor SCI-Arc so I'd rather choose between Pratt and Syracuse, but...I luv Cornell so much...I just can't throw my chance away.
well if you're made of money you can register at pratt and then cancel on them and not get your deposit back if you get into sciarc or whatever your dream school is.. (but then you'd be that guy who doesn't let in people off the waitlist)...
its up to you.
First, contact your waitlist schools and ask when they are able to inform you based on previous experience. They may not be able to provide exact information but your calling them demonstrates your interest with them.
Next, contact both Pratt and Syracuse and ask for an extension to their offer of admission as you are still waiting to hear from other programs. Be reasonable - say mid-May. All they can say is NO, but again you demonstrate strong interest in their program.
or you could not accept pratt and give me a chance since im the wait list...lol i thought i would try
good luck on your choice! but just a word of advice on life choices; don't loose the opportunity on something you really want or you'll be thinking about it for the next 3 years if you had the chance.

pay the deposit at one or the other and wait for results from the waitlists.
there is no other option...either way you have to register at syr or pratt...or you *might* not go next year.

I went to Syracuse as for M Arch. I would say the program is weak with pragmatic teaching but rich in theoretical dialogue.
Also, the semester abroad is awesome. SU offers a program in London now. I went to Florence back then. Just hope you have a lot of savings.
