I was wondering if anyone had opinions, ratings or information on M.Arch schools in Asia and which are reputable for their work and teaching. I've been looking into the University of Hong Kong and it's quite hard to judge and compare with other Asia schools since a lot of M.Arch schools discussed are based in the US or UK.
I've visited both University of Hong Kong and Chinese University of Hong Kong while I was over there, and both seem to be pretty cool schools. We saw the studios and some projects of both and they seemed comparable to design-based universities in the US. They had some interesting projects on display at CUHK. I have a dossier on the grad projects from there as well, but I'd have to search for it.
I've also worked with students at Xi'an University of Architecture & Technology and while really hard workers, they were more technical/traditional.
And finally, I've visited Tongji University in Shanghai which I believe is a pretty well known university across the board, not just for architecture. They had some professors from the US and a nice bookstore.
Hong Kong and/or Shanghai would be your best bet in China because those are the international cities and have a lot of huge firms with offices there.
And that is all I can remember from 2 summers ago. Hope it helps!
University of Hong Kong is a good school... I think, being a school that is recognized internationally, has a long history and is really I believe an English language university since HK was a British colony it is most similar to western universities, under the british university system...
Don't know anything about other Chinese school systems...

Any suggestions or ideas?
